Zap your microwave!

Microwaves alter the molecular structure of food. So… what do you think it does to your cells?! It turns food into a radiated piece of carcinogen. If you put a slightly stale bagel in the microwave for 30 seconds and take it out, it is soft and warm and yummy… But try this: Leave it out for 30 minutes, then drop it on the floor. It will be as hard as a rock! Its molecular structure has been altered. Furthermore, we’ve all probably heard warnings to move to a different room while the microwave is in use.

What can you do about it?:

Re-heat your leftovers on the stovetop and add a little water. It only takes 3-5 minutes, and so what, you have a little pot or pan to wash? Better than ingesting altered molecules!

Just throw away the microwave. It is far too tempting to heat up or cook your food in there!

If you can’t get rid of it, try using it just to heat up water. The molecular structure of water can’t be drastically altered if at all. If you absolutely have to use it, only re-heat food in glass pyrex containers, despite how “microwave safe” the packaging claims to be.

Consider a mostly raw food diet to eliminate the need to heat anything!

Purchase an alternative microwave oven, such as the turbo oven which can cook your food in 25-30% less time than a conventional oven.

Carcinogens in microwaved food

In Dr. Lita Lee’s book, Health Effects of Microwave Radiation – Microwave Ovens, and in the March and September 1991 issues of Earthletter, she stated that every microwave oven leaks electro-magnetic radiation, harms food, and converts substances cooked in it to dangerous organ-toxic and carcinogenic products. Further research summarized in this article reveal that microwave ovens are far more harmful than previously imagined.

  1. I’ve had this nagging feeling for a while that I should probably stop using the microwave. For some reason I just can’t seem to do it…
